Founding Apple: In 1976, Steve Jobs, along with Steve Wozniak and Ronald Wayne, cofounded Apple Computer Inc. in the Jobs family garage. Apple's breakthrough came with the release of the Apple I computer, followed by the Apple II, which became wildly successful in the late 1970s and early 1980s.
